France’s equity benchmark CAC 40 exhibited a slight uptick shortly after noon on Friday, as stocks made incremental gains in positive territory, buoyed by a reduction in geopolitical tensions following developments in the U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States will refrain from launching an attack on Iran prior to the midterm elections next month, further noting that dialogues with Tehran “remain productive.”
Declining bond yields and crude oil prices contributed positively to market sentiment. Brent crude front-month futures declined to $102.33 a barrel before rebounding to $102.95, reflecting a decrease of 1.3% from the previous close. The yield on France’s 10-year Government Bond experienced a decline to 4.797% this morning, subsequently rebounding to 4.827%. This figure remains below the previous close of 4.885%.
