French stocks are largely muted in uninspired trading on Wednesday, as investors exhibit little enthusiasm for making substantial moves. The market is set to close early today. The U.K. market will also experience a brief trading session, whereas the markets in Germany and Switzerland will remain closed in observance of the Christmas Eve holiday.

  • Edenred, Safran, Schneider Electric, Renault, Sanofi, and Engie have
    experienced declines ranging from 0.3% to 0.7%.
  • LVMH is experiencing an increase of over 1%.
  • Kering has increased by almost 1%.
  • Hermes International, Publicis Groupe, TotalEnergies, Carrefour, and
    EssilorLuxottica have risen between 0.4% and 0.75%.

The market will be closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of the Christmas and Boxing Day holidays, respectively. The benchmark CAC 40 increased by 16.90 points, reflecting a rise of 0.21%, reaching 8,120.75 shortly before noon.
