CAC 40 exhibited minimal movement shortly after noon on Friday amid tepid trading conditions. Investors, processing the recent policy decisions from the Bank of England and the European Central Bank, were anticipating the significant PCE data from the United States. This comes on the heels of yesterday’s report indicating an unforeseen decline in consumer prices for the month of November in the world’s largest economy.

The CAC 40 experienced a decline of 5.09 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.06%, settling at 8,145.55 just shy of one hour past noon. Renault experienced a 1.5% increase subsequent to a rating upgrade. S&P Global has elevated the company’s credit rating to BBB- from BB+, maintaining a stable outlook.

  • Eurofins Scientific experienced an increase of approximately 1.35%.
  • Accor, Engie, Societe Generale, STMicroElectronics, Credit Agricole, and Safran saw
    gains ranging from 0.5% to 0.8%.
  • Meanwhile, Kering declined by 1.7%, ArcelorMittal decreased by approximately 1.6%, and
    Unibail Rodamco fell by 1.4%.
  • L’Oreal, Capgemini, Pernod Ricard, Saint Gobain, Hermes International, Edenred, and Dassault
    Systemes experienced a decline ranging from 0.8% to 1.2%.

According to data, French domestic producer prices experienced a month-over-month increase of 1.1% in November, following a period of stagnation in the prior month. On an annual basis, the decline in producer prices intensified, decreasing by 3.3%, marking the most significant drop since December 2024, in contrast to a 0.8% decrease observed in October.
