CAC 40 Dips Slightly in Cautious Trading

CAC 40 exhibited a varied performance Monday morning as investors adopted a cautious stance, anticipating monetary policy announcements from key central banks, including the Federal Reserve, later this week. This week, the Reserve Bank of Australia, Bank of Japan, and Bank of Canada are set to reveal their decisions regarding interest rates.

The benchmark CAC 40 experienced a decline of 16.65 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.2%, settling at 8,098.09 by midday. Where as –

  • Edenred experienced a decline of approximately 2.7%.
  • Saint Gobain, Pernod Ricard, Sanofi, and Eurofins Scientific experienced a decline ranging from 1.25% to 1.7%.
  • STMicroElectronics, Kering, and Hermes International experienced a decline of 1 to 1.1%.
  • TotalEnergies, Orange, Stellantis, LVMH, and Renault experienced declines.

L’Oreal experienced a decline of 1.7%. The firm has enhanced its collaboration with Galderma through the acquisition of an extra 10% stake. The company previously held a 10% interest in the Swiss dermatology firm.

Among the gainers, Unibail Rodamco increased by over 2%, Thales rose by 1.3%, and Safran saw an uptick of 1.2%. Legrand, Publicis Groupe, Capgemini, Dassault Systèmes, BNP Paribas, Engie, Schneider Electric, and Société Générale experienced an increase ranging from 0.6% to 1%.
