The benchmark CAC 40 experienced a decline of 59.56 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.73%, currently standing at 8,063.31.
Airbus experienced a significant decline of nearly 9% following reports that the aircraft manufacturer has recalled thousands of its A320 family aircraft. This action is attributed to potential failures in the ELAC control system, which may have been triggered by powerful solar flares. Where as –
- Thales experienced a decline of 2.9%, while Bureau Veritas and Safran recorded losses of 2.3% and 2.2%, respectively.
- Euronext, EssilorLuxottica, Legrand, Dassault Systemes, Stellantis, and Bouygues experienced declines ranging from 1.2% to 1.4%.
- In the interim, Hermes International and Carrefour experienced increases of 1.7% and 1.2%, respectively.
- LVMH, Pernod Ricard, Danone, Kering, Sanofi, Air Liquide, Eurofins Scientific, ArcelorMittal, and L’Oreal experienced gains ranging from 0.5% to 1.1%.
Data indicated a contraction in France’s manufacturing activity, as numerous companies curtailed investment in response to prevailing political uncertainty. France’s final factory PMI decreased to a nine-month low of 47.8, consistent with the flash estimate, down from 48.8 in the previous month. In November, Eurozone manufacturing activity exhibited a decline, with a reduction in new orders indicating emerging challenges to demand.
The HCOB manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index decreased to 49.6 from 50.0 in October. The preliminary reading stood at 49.7. The score indicated a renewed decline in manufacturing conditions throughout the single currency union. While the decrease was the most significant observed since June, it remained relatively minor.
