The benchmark index of the Paris Equities, CAC 40, is currently in negative territory on Friday, as investors are largely abstaining from making substantial moves due to a dearth of new catalysts. Concerns regarding economic growth, coupled with uncertainty surrounding the forthcoming policy decisions of central banks and the tariff strategies of the U.S. government, seem to be fostering a cautious sentiment.
The CAC 40 index experienced a decline of 387.31 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.47%, settling at 7,927.46. Edenred is experiencing a decline of 2.8%. Bureau Veritas has experienced a decline of 2.05%, whereas Veolia Environment, Schneider Electric, Societe Generale, Eurofins Scientific, Capgemini, AXA, Saint Gobain, and Pernod Ricard have seen decreases ranging from 1.1% to 1.7%.
- L’Oreal, Publicis Groupe, Essilor Luxottica, Vinci, Stellantis, Air Liquide,
and Airbus are all experiencing a decline. - Meanwhile, Euronext and ArcelorMittal have increased by 2.3% and 2.2%, respectively.
- Kering is experiencing an increase of 1.3%, whereas Danone, BNP Paribas, Hermes
International, and LVMH are rising between 0.5% and 1%.
Data indicated that France’s trade deficit expanded to €6.6 billion in September 2025, marking the largest figure in three months, up from €5.2 billion in August and exceeding forecasts of €5.9 billion. Exports increased by 0.1% compared to the previous month, reaching €51.9 billion, whereas imports rose by 2.5% to €58.5 billion.
