CAC Futures Today

French stocks advanced on Friday, buoyed by declining oil prices that improved market sentiment, despite ongoing concerns regarding tensions in the Middle East. The benchmark CAC 40, which advanced to 7,924.58, was up 54.36 points or 0.69% at 7,889.67 a little over half an hour past noon. Oil prices declined in response to reports indicating that European Union nations are deliberating a French proposal aimed at releasing fuel and crude stockpiles. This move is intended to alleviate significant market tightness and mitigate the risk of a potential U.S. diesel export ban.

Brent crude front-month futures declined to 98.92 before rebounding to 99.44, representing a decrease of approximately 2.8% from the prior close. Meanwhile, investors remain attentive to developments on the geopolitical front as optimism for a truce between Iran and the U.S. diminishes. Reports indicate that Washington is deploying a third aircraft carrier to the Middle East, accompanied by an additional 10,000 American troops.
