CAC Futures Updates

French stocks exhibited a varied performance on Wednesday as investors concentrated on the ongoing peace negotiations in the Middle East, adopting a generally cautious approach. Concerns regarding potential rate hike actions by the Federal Reserve have negatively impacted sentiment.

The benchmark CAC 40 increased by 22.80 points, reflecting a rise of 0.27%, reaching 8,363.51 approximately thirty minutes after noon.

  • Luxury stocks L’Oreal and LVMH experienced increases of 2% and 1.4%, respectively. Kering increased by 0.8%, whereas Hermes International saw a rise of 0.3%.
  • Pernod Ricard experienced an increase of 1.8%, while Air Liquide saw a rise of 1.7%, and Danone advanced by 1.6%. STMicroelectronics and Safran experienced increases of 1.3% and 1.1%, respectively.
  • Eurofins Scientific, BNP Paribas, Bureau Veritas, Michelin, and Schneider Electric recorded slight increases.
  • Orange experienced a slight increase. The company is reportedly aiming to generate over EUR600M in value from AI by 2028.
  • EssilorLuxottica experienced a decline of 3.7%. ArcelorMittal experienced a decline of 2.7%, while Thales saw a decrease of approximately 2.3%. Euronext and Stellantis recorded falls of 2.2% and 2%, respectively.
  • Publicis Groupe, Eiffage, Veolia Environment, Bouygues, and Engie experienced declines ranging from 1% to 1.4%.
