French stocks exhibited a varied performance Wednesday morning as investors anticipated the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy announcement scheduled for later today, alongside the impending signing of a peace agreement between Washington and Tehran later this week in Switzerland.

The benchmark CAC 40 increased by 18.20 points, reflecting a rise of 0.22%, reaching a level of 8,465.47 at noon.

  • Schneider Electric experienced a 2% increase. Legrand, Saint Gobain, and Safran experienced increases of 1.3%, 1.2%, and 1.1%, respectively.
  • Defence technology company Thales experienced an approximate 1% increase following its establishment of a strategic partnership with Renault Group aimed at developing and industrialising the large-scale production of the TOUTATIS loitering munition.
  • Airbus, Societe Generale, Credit Agricole, Kering, BNP Paribas, and LVMH experienced moderate gains.
  • Orange declined approximately 3.7%. EssilorLuxottica declined by 2.7%, whereas Stellantis experienced a decrease of 1.6%.
  • Sanofi, Carrefour, ArcelorMittal, Dassault Systemes, Eurofins Scientific, Renault, Engie, Euronext, and Accor experienced declines ranging from 0.5% to 1.4%.
