The benchmark CAC 40 experienced a decline of 7.48 points, representing a decrease of 0.09%, settling at 8,166.72 just moments ago. The index had risen to 8,239.67 earlier in the session.
BNP Paribas is experiencing a decline of over 10% following a US jury’s determination that the bank played a role in supporting Sudan’s oppressive regime under the ousted leader Omar al-Bashir. The panel granted over $20 million in damages to three plaintiffs. Where as –
- Credit Agricole has experienced a decline of 3.5%, while Societe Generale has seen a decrease of
approximately 2.8%. - Veolia Environment has experienced a decline of 1.4%, whereas Orange, Vinci, Unibail Rodamco, Bouygues, AXA, Engie, and TotalEnergies have seen decreases ranging from 0.5% to 1%.
- Among the gainers, Kering is experiencing an increase of nearly 3.5%, following the company’s agreement to divest its beauty division to L’Oréal for €4 billion. L’Oreal shares exhibit a slight increase.
