Following the public dismissal of Iran’s recent proposal concerning the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, along with other stipulations related to naval blockades and the relaxation of economic sanctions, Trump is said to have informed his aides of his anticipation for a resumption of U.S. bombing operations post-midterm elections. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi articulated aspirations for a diplomatic resolution, yet cautioned that the nation stands ready for conflict with the United States to recommence. Brent crude futures for the front-month contract experienced a notable increase, reaching $108.28 before retracting slightly to $107.91, representing a rise of 3.7% from the prior close.

The CAC 40 increased by 2.78 points, reflecting a rise of 0.03%, reaching 8,080.58 approximately thirty minutes after noon.
