The CAC 40 declined by 0.3% to 8,400 on Monday, reducing the gains achieved in the prior week as investors assessed the mixed signals regarding US-Iran diplomatic initiatives. While US President Donald Trump renewed threats of military action if Hezbollah continues its attacks on Israel, reports indicate that the US and Iran have made notable progress in negotiations, with both parties agreeing on a roadmap designed to achieve a final agreement within 60 days.

Luxury stocks experienced notable declines, as LVMH decreased by 0.6% and Hermès saw a reduction of 0.5%. On the upside, STMicroelectronics advanced 2.2% following the announcement of the VL53L9, a compact direct Time-of-Flight 3D LiDAR all-in-one module aimed at providing high-resolution sensing performance and bolstering the company’s standing in advanced sensor technologies.
