In the face of political uncertainty, the French market is demonstrating a robust performance on Wednesday, buoyed by increases in steel stocks following the European Union’s proposal to reduce shipment quotas for tariff-free steel imports into the bloc, while simultaneously raising tariffs on volumes exceeding the suggested limits.

Auto stocks are underperforming, impacted by the German automotive giant BMW revising its revenue projections downward, attributing this adjustment to U.S. tariffs and disappointing growth figures in the Chinese market. Where as –

  • ArcelorMittal is experiencing an increase of 2.8%.
  • Renault has experienced a decline of approximately 2.3%.
  • Kering, Hermes International, Societe Generale, LVMH, Kering, Legrand,
    and Schneider Electric are experiencing gains in the range of 1.3% to 1.5%.

AXA, Safran, Euronext, Thales, Airbus, Accor, EssilorLuxottica, and Credit Agricole are experiencing notable increases. STMicroElectronics, Capgemini, Saint Gobain, Sanofi, Michelin, and Stellantis have experienced declines ranging from 0.5% to 1%.
