
Following consecutive losses, the CAC has moved into positive territory on Friday as investors are buying stocks, dismissing U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of new tariffs. The benchmark CAC 40 has increased by 30.41 points, reflecting a rise of 0.39%, currently standing at 7,825.83.
Edenred has decreased by approximately 1%. Stellantis, Dassault Systemes, Publicis Groupe, and Renault are experiencing slight declines. Where as –
- Euronext has experienced a decline of over 3%.
- Credit Agricole, Bouygues, and EssilorExottica have increased by 2 to 2.2%.
- AXA, BNP Paribas, ArcelorMittal, LVMH, Carrefour, Saint Gobain, Vinci,
and Societe Generale are experiencing an increase of 1 to 1.5%. - Pernod Ricard, Capgemini, and STMicroElectronics have experienced
declines ranging from 2% to 2.1%.
On Thursday, Trump declared that a 100% tariff will be applied to branded pharmaceuticals imported into the U.S., while a 25% levy will be imposed on heavy-duty trucks, starting October 1st. He has also proposed levies on kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and upholstered furniture.
