CAC Futures Today

The French stock market’s benchmark index CAC 40 experienced an upward movement on Wednesday, influenced by favourable signals from other significant European markets, following a positive earnings report from Dutch semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML. Advancements in technology equities, particularly STMicroelectronics, alongside the performance of luxury goods stocks, contributed positively to the market’s upward movement.  Increasing oil prices and apprehension surrounding the upcoming release of U.S. consumer price inflation data contributed to a somewhat cautious sentiment.

Oil prices experienced a modest increase as uncertainty looms over the recovery of energy shipments from the Persian Gulf, following a missile attack by the Houthi on Saudi Aramco’s headquarters in Dhahran. Brent crude futures experienced an increase, reaching $107.51 a barrel, before subsequently declining to $105.21. However, the contract edged higher again and was last observed hovering around $106.40 a barrel. The CAC 40 increased by 51.15 points, reflecting a rise of 0.65%, reaching a level of 7,878.78 recently.
